| Abstract | A virological screening on stone fruits species grown in different parts of Bulgaria was carried out during the period 2003-2005. This investigation included observations for the symptoms of viral infection in the experimental and commercial orchards as well as laboratory tests for detection of infectious agents. The comparison between the health status of the stone fruit trees observed and the results obtained byELISA, show that plum pox virus (PPV) remains the most dangerous pathogen in the country. |
