2005 - 2010 Objective of this project is to use cDNA-AFLP technology for large-scale analysis of the alterations of transcriptional profiles associated to CMV infection in tomato and in wild accessions of Solanum spp., preliminarily proven to be tolerant to some aggressive CMV/satRNA combinations, namely CMV-FN (necrogenic phenotype on tomato) and CMV-FS (stunting phenotype on tomato). The aim is the identification of gene groupings involved in the tomato-CMV-satRNA molecular interactions without earlier knowledge of the complete host genome sequence. Tomato Cucumber mosaic virus
